Chartered in 1982, the Governors Club is located one block from the State Capitol, in the historic heart of downtown Tallahassee. Located 20 minutes from the Airport.
The Governors Club was founded on certain principles. Chief among them were providing a comfortable and elegant environment for social gatherings, serving excellent food and offering outstanding service. Our private social club cultivates the finest membership in the state and fosters a diverse and loyal community. Rich in history, the Club opened its doors in an elegant and stately building that has become an esteemed locale for Tallahasseans and many of Florida’s leading professionals.

The Governors Club offers five dining facilities: The Grille hosts the majority of our members for lunch and dinner with a casual atmosphere. The Patio and The Balcony offer al fresco dining (smoking permitted) while the Main Dining Room requires jackets. The Lounge, also offers a menu and is our most popular cocktail area. Smoking is permitted in the Lounge after 7:00 pm. For special events, the Clubhouse dress code may be relaxed. Please inquire with our hostess.
