Founded in 1825, the Western Club is one of Scotland’s most historic private members’ clubs. For more than 200 years, it has provided a welcoming meeting place for members from Glasgow, throughout the United Kingdom and around the world. Today, the Club combines its heritage and traditional standards with a friendly, inclusive and contemporary approach.
The Club occupies an elegant listed building overlooking Royal Exchange Square in the heart of Glasgow city centre. Its central location places members within easy walking distance of George Square, Buchanan Street, Glasgow Queen Street and Glasgow Central railway stations, as well as the city’s principal business, cultural, shopping and entertainment districts.
Reciprocal members and their guests can enjoy comfortable overnight accommodation, member lounges and bar facilities, contemporary dining at Glaschu, private dining and function rooms, meeting and conference facilities, and workspace for members visiting Glasgow on business.
