Set in 300 acres of verdant Hertfordshire countryside, just 18 miles from London, The Grove is the ultimate five-star retreat. The former home of the Earls of Clarendon, the hotel has been lovingly restored and is now home to 214 luxurious bedrooms and suites, the Lounges, various meeting and event spaces, and five unique dining outlets.
A short stroll through the grounds brings you to Sequoia Spa, and beyond that, our championship golf course. Designed by the renowned Kyle Phillips, it hosted the 2016 British Masters and 2006 World Golf Championship and was recently ranked the number one golf resort in England by Golf World Rankings. The course is GEO certified and is recognised for its excellent condition all year round.
Outside, the grounds promise stunning gardens and Asher’s Woodland Trails, perfect for family activities like archery lessons and bike rides. The Grove’s hidden gem is the enchanting Walled Garden—an oasis of tranquillity complete with Ralph’s Beach, Jemima’s Kitchen Garden, seasonal pop-ups, and two tennis courts.

The Grove is home to one of the UK’s most prestigious golf courses. Open to all who love the game, there is no membership policy; however, regular players can take advantage of the Clarendon Collection loyalty programme.
Inside, the contemporary West Wing is home to Classic, Superior and Deluxe rooms, whilst the 18th century mansion houses 13 character-filled rooms and 12 unique suites, including the breath-taking Grove Suite with panoramic views of the grounds.
From a theatre of international cuisine at The Glasshouse to British classics at The Stables, sushi in the Lounges to seasonal dishes in Sequoia Kitchen, dining at The Grove promises options aplenty - each just as tempting.
A short stroll from the historic mansion and a stone’s throw from the contemporary West Wing, you’ll find Sequoia Spa. Lose yourself in a maze of relaxation, with facilities including an inky black, mosaic lined swimming pool, sauna, steam room, and wellness pool. Alternatively, opt for a transformative Bamford or Natura Bissé treatment with an expert therapist.
Golf isn’t the only on site activity. With expansive grounds to explore, guests can wander Asher’s Woodland Trails or try their hand at traditional outdoor pursuits like archery and axe throwing.
